My wedding is in 5 1/2 months and I still haven't registered. I don't know why but I really have no desire to do so. I keep putting it off. Does anyone else feel this way?
Im going to try to go to BBB tonight to at least start my registry but I really am just blah about it.

Re: Does anyone else have no desire to register
I am getting married in November too and we have not registered yet either. I am happy to hear I am not the only one who has not registered yet. My FI and I have lived together for years so he said he does not want to register. I asked him doesn't he want new things? I am going to try to register soon. People keep asking me about it - my Great Aunt even lectured me about not registering because she complained she wants to buy me a gift. Oh well.

I'm not having a shower so registering seemed a bit silly to me. I loved the honeymoon registry idea because it feels like something fun for our guests to look at and get a real feeling for our honeymoon. So I had fun putting that together (plus it's fun to dream about what we'll do together!).
But BBB was ok to register at... we just don't need that much stuff, and I don't think people are going to be getting us much so I hate to get my hopes up too much. I went with my dad and he wouldn't come around with me so I just did it myself. I registered for about 20 things. It was enough.
You have to do what feels right to you. I registered a few months ago, when we had about 4 1/2 - 5 months to go. If you don't register, people will still gives you gifts -- never fear! Don't just register because you feel like you HAVE to... try to find a way to enjoy the process...
That blah feeling will dissipate and you'll get excited again about it... no worries!
Where do you go to do a honeymoon registry?

Re: Does anyone else have no desire to register
Yes i have to agree I hated the whole registering idea.. I still do lol but I started registering on line and it is somehow much less stressful... also bc if you have multiple registeries you can go back and forth on line to see what each store has and which one you like better, has a better price etc...
I cant believe some of you girls registered in like 3 hours!!! it took me that long to pick a china pattern and flatware! No one I was so hesitant to do the registry,, knowing how i am i have to see EVERYTHINg available before making a decision and then i have too many options and get confused or cant decide.
ANyway thats why BBB is great bc you get money back, hassle free returns.. Even a store like macys or bloomies .. you can always exchange stuff or return it and buy furniture (or clothes!!) ..

This was the absolute worst thing for the both of us and we aren't even done. We finally went and spent 4 hours at Macys two weeks ago and the only thing we put on there was everyday dishwear. We weren't even sure about it. Then three days later it arrived at our house. Yup, someone already bought it for us. I'm gratefull its just that we live in a very small apartment in the city that we own and can not sell right now. I hate the though that all these things people will buy for us will go to outfit a house that we do not have.
I really would much rather people gave cash but ugh I guess people want to give presents at the shower so I have to register. Can someone please tell me what glasswear to buy. Just kidding but really, I have to do that and flatwear next. So annoying.

I'm not having a shower + FH and I live together (4 years). I want some MONEY
LOL- FH and I have been together for 7 years, and have lived together for most of them. In fact, we bought our house almost 3 years ago and got a lot of 'registry stuff' then. I'd prefer money, but I understand the whole 'shower gifts' thing. My mom and FMIL both were on me about registering... so I did it, but I picked stuff I felt I'd need or want.
(btw- I felt like it was stressful to do as well, I dont know why though)
