Does anyone else have no desire to register

My wedding is in 5 1/2 months and I still haven't registered. I don't know why but I really have no desire to do so. I keep putting it off. Does anyone else feel this way?

Im going to try to go to BBB tonight to at least start my registry but I really am just blah about it.

Re: Does anyone else have no desire to register

I'm not having a shower so registering seemed a bit silly to me. I loved the honeymoon registry idea because it feels like something fun for our guests to look at and get a real feeling for our honeymoon. So I had fun putting that together (plus it's fun to dream about what we'll do together!).

But BBB was ok to register at... we just don't need that much stuff, and I don't think people are going to be getting us much so I hate to get my hopes up too much. I went with my dad and he wouldn't come around with me so I just did it myself. I registered for about 20 things. It was enough.

You have to do what feels right to you. I registered a few months ago, when we had about 4 1/2 - 5 months to go. If you don't register, people will still gives you gifts -- never fear! Don't just register because you feel like you HAVE to... try to find a way to enjoy the process...

That blah feeling will dissipate and you'll get excited again about it... no worries!

I was that way..... then I went and I AM ADDICTED! I wish I could do it everyday... well I kinda do, online.

You will love it I promise you... just don't hold back!

So sorry that you feel like this. I had a blast doing mine, it's like making a wish list
Good Luck for whenever you decide to go!!

The funny part is that I looooove to shop, especially for house related stuff. I just don't know why I don't want to register. I guess I feel bad because of the economy.

i TOTALLY do not feel like registering. I have put it off as long as possible and with the wedding 3.5 months away and the shower even sooner.. my mother will have my head if i dont go.

Alas I started my registry with Macys on sat-- but only picked out my china so far and a couple of other pieces-- - but its true once you start it is kind of fun. I find it hard though to decide what you want (its like picking out everything you will own for the next x number of years in one day!) and where you want it from bc every store has different policies. I registered for my china at Macys for example and saw that Michael C. Fina has the same set with a bonus soup bowl for each 5 piece setting you order -- which is an 85 dollar bonus! So now i am thinking of switching my china over to Michael C. FIna.

So ya I have no desire to register-- mostly bc i cant decide where to register and what to order from where!

i feel 100% the same way!!!! I don't know when my shower is but FH keeps bugging me that we have to finish registering. I know its prob my mom pushing him to do it but its sooo annoying!!!! We finally put bedding on so now we are done except for all of the things that have been discontinued or things that are out of stock. It's like, I ALREADY did this and I don't want to have to go back and find replacements!!!!

LOL - same here with my China and Michael C Fina! I switched my China from Bloomingdales to Michael C Fina because of this...
My registry was a 4 month work in progress (not to make you nervous) only because we kept changing out minds. I finally think it's done...all I need to add is bedding...

I don't think I'm going to register. I live alone already and have alot of household stuff. And well I don't really care about china and stuff like that. I would be happy with anything people got me..as long as I can use it

I REALLY had no desire to register either, but my FMIL was bugging the hell out of me, so we finally did it - it was fun - especially since my fiance was such a good sport...I gave him the scan gun and it made him happy.

Just do it...I guarantee that you will enjoy it...especially updating it online!

It was a CHORE for me to do. I spent 3 hours on a Sunday to get it done.

I am half excited about it... there is some stuff I know we need but being that we live together we have so much stuff already... problem being FH and his entire lineup of friends and fam are all from out of state and he said they are used to bringing gifts to a wedding... so now do I not only have to register for enough stuff for my shower I have to register for more things for the wedding... UGH.

I loathe any minute of it! I hate it & everyone keeps yelling at me to put more on it. My amazon registry has the most and that's not saying much.

I was exactly the same way! my DH (then FH) had to keep pushing me to do it and my family kept saying 'um did you register yet?'

I finally did it, all in one night and then of course stalked the registry.

Good luck. I think once you start, you'll enjoy it more.
