Does anyone else here NOT like Disney?

I've never really been a Disney fan. I went once as a kid, it was fun, but I dont' get the whole adult Disney thing. I staye din Orland for spring brak once, b/ca friend 's family had a tiem share & we only went to MGM b/c we had a free pass & downtown disney for the restaurants, movie thearte & bars, b/c we didn't know where much else was in the area.

MIL has all sorts of Disney stuff, even a Mickey wine stopper.

I just don't get it. Miceky isn't even cute as far as cartoon characters go.

I guess you guys forgot... the Muppets ARE Disney!!
They are owned by them!! They are their own entity, but they are fulled owned by TWDC.

They are now. That's because Disney owns everything.

I am not into the whole merchandising thing, and decorating your home with characters, but the kid's halloween costumes in the Disney store are sooooo cute. I bought them last year there for my nieces

I also prefered Epcot to Disneyworld.

EPCOT is in Disneyworld...I'm guessing you mean the Magic Kingdom!!!

No. They are seperate. They did have a partnership for several years, but it ended after the production of the new movie Cars.

They are currently starting up talks to renew the partnership.

sadly, an unfortunate situation

I don't think that it is so much that I forgot, but more that I am in denial

My dad worked for Henson before Disney bought them and they were a great company (Henson, that is....)

Maybe it is, but I like them! I also carry a Wizard of Oz pocketbook, and have kermit pajamas, piglet pajamas and a t shirt that says 'growing up is not an option'. As long as I'm a mature adult where I need to be, I see no problem with having accessories that reflect my childish side.

I'm not a big fan at all. I also worked for Disney for 3 years (after they took over ABC) & we'd get free passes at least 3x a year. I enjoy going to Epcot here/there, but not into the hype of it all. Sorry.

I don't care for Disney much myself either. My sister on the otherhand loves Disney. I'm a big fan of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! Much more fun. My DH and I are roller coaster fans, so Disney didn't have anything for us really.

I do love Marvin The Martian and K-9 though.

Just in this little areanear my desk anda little bookshelf I have a ton of disney stuff

a box of tissues with mickey on them
a pooh xmas card someone gave me
a pooh picture frame
a tigger picture fram
sing n snore pooh
a set of mickey champage glasses form teh night we got engaged
minnies dream wedding
mickey treasure box (aslo lenox)
a litlte plastc snow white and prince charming that dance
a little cindy's castle replica
About 20 disney DVDs (not even half)
a snow white picture frame with our engagement pic (from disney) in it
a minnie and mickey ornament
pooh playing cards
snow white bubble bath
a n issue of disney magazine
a parasol i bought at the china pavillion
a book of trading cards from toontown (a disney online game)
my pooh address book
my classic pooh checks
my snow white addy lables
my disney eng announcements and thank yous
a die cast replica of the main street fire dept firetruck
a little winnie the pooh with a clock i just got for my birthday
an eeyore decal on my wall

and this is just in the immediate area around my desk....
in the larger part of my room there's much more, and much much more in storage.

Ok I just realized..I'm a freak.

but I LOVE it
