I absolutely HATE this about my new job! I'm not getting a paycheck until the END OF SEPTEMBER! HELLO! I need money NOW! I just thought this was werid, especially for a teaching job.

My husband only gets paid once a month. IT S***S!!! It's really hard. It seems like you have no money real early in the month.

At my last job, which was in a school, we only got paid once a month. I hated it too.

In Italy, they all get paid once a month, its SO normal to them they thought it was SO COOL that we get paid once a week. I think the 27th is their pay day.. (I heard this many years ago, im not sure if things have changed..)
Manage the money and you will do fine !

I remember the good old days when I worked crappy jobs and I got paid weekly. Why is it that now that I'm in the business world I get paid twice a month. That doesn't seem right.

I'm also a teacher (spec. ed early intervention) and I get paid monthly. I work as in independent contractor through an agency. I've been doing it for about 3 years now so Im used to the once monthly pay check and I actually kind of like it this way. I pay all of my bills when the $$ comes in and know exactly what I can spend for the rest of the month. Where do you work?

I work in an independent school in Suffolk. My mother is an independent contractor in speech and also gets paid once a month form that, but she is also a professor and gets two pay checks a month. Luckily, I teach privately and students pay as they go each week, so I have at least some money coming in every week, but the though of making it until almost October w/o a paycheck is scaring me!

When I worked at Enron we got paid mthly and comission was every 3 mts

My friend is an early intervention teacher also, and she gets paid once a month, after the first two months, she got used to it, and was able to manage her money better.
