I have a constintly changing schedule. My sleep patern gets messed up because of this and I end up having to take melatonin to help me get to sleep. I was just wondering if anyone else used it on a regular basis. I was wondering if it's safe to take on a daily basis.

yes, both me and fh take it every night. it works great for us. sometimes i wake up a little bit groggy, but only if i take the melatonin too late in the evening.

I used to take it and it did nothing for me.
I read somewhere that the most effective dose is less than the amount in one pill, but I can't remember what the amount was. Maybe 3 mg?

I used tit ake it and I may start again. My doctro told me to take it. I think it's fairly sade to use consistently. You're just not supposed to take more than 1 per day.

Re: Does anyone else take melatonin?
I am so interested in this thread becasue I just bought and am about to try taking melatonin .. I am a lousy sleeper, so I wanted to see if it helps me sleep at all..
But actually I'm trying melatonin because there was a recent medical study that taking 3 MG every night might help those who suffer from migraines (like I do). My brother, who is a physician, and my neurologist both told me that melatonin is safe and that it is worth a shot. [crossing my fingers.....]

my fh, who suffers from cluster headaches, takes 9mg of melatonin a night, per his doctor. it has helped stop the attacks at night.
