Does anyone else worry about the effect the economy will have on ...

The food at their wedding?
Cutting corners, and all that,

I do not personally worry about this, but then my cousin said it to me, and it got me thinking!!

I sure hope not!!

no, i really dont think this will affect the quality of the food. they base their name on reputation, and most ppl kno them for good food and service. so i really dont think they can cut too many corners.

one thing that i do think the economy will affect is presents. not to sound greedy, but i dont really expect to be getting $$$$$$$ from anyone. times are too difficult.

I don’t think the halls would skimp out on things because they know everyone attending the wedding is a possible client so I think they wouldn’t do that.

yup same here. and i hope that some of my OOT guests can come as well!!! but i know that is also a factor of the economy.......

i am confident in saying that this is the least of my concerns. my biggest concern with the economy & planning a wedding is hoping that FH finds a job before we get married. he wont be finished with school until January & we are getting married in April. sometimes i wish we would of waited until September 2010.

Since our's is a vegetarian wedding, it's already cheaper...so I'm guessing not.

These places want to STAY in business, they're not looking to skimp out on quality. Every day (well, 3 or 4 times a week), halls present their quality to hundreds of people - who are potential customers if they like a place.

no i dont think they will skimp on food...im just worrying with the economy that we wont be able to save enough $$ by the wedding

Not to sound selfish, I am concerned about our gifts seriously decreasing. Starting our lives together at this time is seriously hard and we need all the help we can get!

I am not worried at all. I know some of our guest will not be able to give a lot but that was that case regardless of the economy. I am just happy to have both of our families around.

I'm definitely worried about the economy effecting the wedding in general, but the RH is the least of my worries. I'm more worried that I'll find out like a month before that my videographer went out of business or something along those lines!
