Does anyone ever have the fear...

That FH will HATE your dress???

I don't know why, but lately I've completely convinced myself that FH is going to hate it. Or maybe not hate it...but just think I didn't put an effort into it. Like it's not 'bride'-y enough, and he gets sensitive sometimes about things like that, like I don't care about him. So instead of picturing him loving it...I'm just picturing disappointment, like oh, this is the best you could come up with?

Or have I just swallowed one too many eye drops lately?

I've finally reconvinced myself that I like my dress, so now I have to go off the deep end worrying about HIM.

I don't think FH will dislike it, but he will be sure to mention that I was crazy to have my mom spend so much on the gown....he thinks I've gone overboard with dressing myself for the wedding (wait til I tell him I'm entertaining the thought of having Manolo Blahniks)

Aww, he's going to love your dress.. he'd love whatever you wore to your wedding but just imagine that dress fitted perfectly and you looking like a stunning bride... he'll probably shed a tear or two!

i do know where you're coming from though... billy likes me best in sweat pants, or short dresses and he ask me almost everyday if i can please wear my hair in a ponytail! haha i certainly won't be in his favorite outfit...

I can relate.. I think my FH imagines me in a big princess dress and it really doesnt look like that.. But in my mind I am fairly confident that bc I love my dress and think it's perfect for me.. he'll hav eto just feel the same!! So if you love your dress he will too!!

The most beautiful thing he will notice that day is YOU!! YOU will make the dress, and that's what he's going to see........and melt when he sees his love on your wedding day! If you love your dress, don't worry! Boys usually don't notice details anyway, he'll only see you glowing!

All that matters is that you love it! And he won't notice the dress itself, he'll notice how you're glowing and think about how lucky he is that your his. So don't stress anymore! I've seen your pics of your gown and it's absolutley gorgeous!

Although I do empathize a little. My dress isn't a huge ball gown and I made sure FH knew that it wasn't a typical wedding gown just so he didn't have a certain expectation.

u look so beautiufl in that dress ali..but i think when u really think about it when they first see us yea they see the dress but the whole idea of u becoming his wife just overshadows the dress and the makeup and all that other crap..dont worry

That dress was MADE FOR YOU! It fits you perfectly...it compliments your figure. I know for a fact it would not look as nice on me. FH will love it!!! You look beautiful!!!!!!

He will love the dress on you! If you picked something that wasn't you, you wouldn't pull it off. You look great in the pictures in your album. I can't wait to see after its all fitted and you are done up!

Thanks girls...I wasn't intending for a fishing for compliments type thread, I hope I didn't come across as such. But I appreciate the kind words

I'm just scared because he's pretty traditional that he's expecting a big poofy princess...and he's not going to think it's appropriate enough. I've been trying to talk him down and tell him not to expect anything too grandiose. Ugh...luckily he likes tight fitting things on me
