Does anyone have a baby with reflux? Anyone else's baby spit up a lot?

What are the symptoms and what tests did the dr do to determine that was the problem?
My daughter is 7 months old and continues to spit up all day long. We were hoping she would outgrow it but now her dr is sending her to a gastroenterologist to see whats causing it.
She spits up all the time. I am constantly changing her clthes as well as mine. She spits up 2-3 hours after eating too. (Her dr originally didn't think it was a big deal since she continues to gain weight. We have an appt next month. It took a while to book it because that dr is extremely busy.)

My daughter was diagnosed at 1 week old, she would throw up 'bucketfuls'. We say the pediatric ER docs at North Shore and they were great. They gave her a sono to rule out pyloric stenosis (the muscle at the end of the stomach which tightens and send the food back up) and then she had an upper GI series. Sounds like she has reflux though so she probably won't even need any of these tests. They will probably put her on Zantac and see if there is any relief. Feed her smaller meals, but feed her more often, this allows her system to digest what she has eaten.

Also, is she breatfed or firmula fed, they may also want to rule out if she has a milk allergy. Any blood in her stool? Keep her upright after her feeds and DON'T overfeed her.
I know what you;re going through, it is scary and sooooo very frustrating,. My daughter still sufferd from reflux when she is teething or has a cold, but most outgorw it by their first year of life. FM me is I can be of more help, I am a walking text book about reflux and milk allergies. Good luck.
