Does anyone have a FH who....

Just doesn't like to dance? My FH will dance with me for slow dance but that's about the extent of it. He doesn't want to do a mother/son dance (mainly because he has 2 mom's) it's like pulling teeth to try to get him to dance any sort. Anyone else having this prob?

MY FI is the same way. He'll slow dance on occasion and that's it. Sometimes he'll have to have some alcohol to get up the nerve. LOL. Have you suggested dance lessons to him? We are planning on doing that.

My FH hates to dance but he has accepted it as a part of the day and although he cringes he is okay with it! And I am letting him choose our first dance so I think b/c of that he is more comfortable!
He picks the first I pick the second dance!

I have suggested dance lessons and I think he follows in his father's footsteps WAY TOO much!! Maybe now that his dad has just finished taken dance lessons he may be more willing to do so

Wow no, but how about having a Parents dance where you and your fh can dance together and your parents can dance with their respective spouses...it's your day you don't want negative attention

FH has been promising me for nearly 3 years to take dancing lessons. I love to dance and have been doing it for 23 years. He, on the other hand, can't find a beat for the life of him. He swears that we will take lessons before the wedding, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My FH DOES NOT dance! He will only dance to ONE slow song at a wedding, if I BEG him! He used to go to dance clubs all the time and never ever danced. I hope he dances at least a little bit on our wedding day!

My FH likes to dance...I'm the one that doesn't. He's been promising me to give me some lessons (I have no idea how to dance), but so far....he hasn't. I'm going to look like a big dork!!!!

he likes to dance but doesn't know HOW to dance, so we started lessons...

we fight all the time after class. he gets angry that i lead, i get angry because he has no rhythm...

the wedding should be interesting...

Yes... but I hate dancing too! Maybe even more than he does! So, the first dance will be a very, very short song.

my FH hates to dance, well actually he might like it if he ever tried it!!!!! lol, he has said for years that there will be one dance in his life, with me, and i keep reminding him there will be 2, one with FMIL!!! he is not happy but he doesnt have a choice lol. he has good rhythm too, its such a waste

I know plenty of groom's who 'don't dance.' They all dance at their receptions, whether they look silly or not. He'll dance, don't worry

My FI is the same way. He promised to dance the first dance with me, which he chose, and 1 or two other slow dances. That will prolly be the only time we ever dance together

He also doesn't want to dance with his mom since neither of them dance - but my parents are maknig a big deal about 'thats what your supposed to do' I dont really care about that, as nice as the parent dances are, I am dreading mine myself caues I know my dad will cry so much, someone will have to hold him up (like at my sweet 16, he held me so tight - i serisouly was having trouble breathing)

UGH... I guess my point is -- you are not alone
