Re: Does anyone have a recipe for an Italian dessert
Thank you so much....I have been looking for this recipe forever. My grandmother used to make them. I have a question though.....it says to cook the dough in a deep fryer....if you don't have the can you just cook them in oil in a frying pan?

I am pretty sure that you can use the frying pan because DH's grandmother makes them and she doesn't own a deep fryer - she is 90 years old!
DH's family is trying to get me to inherit this tradition since DH's grandmother is getting on in age. But I am not the Italian one - I say his mom or sister should pick it up first. From what I hear - it doesn't sound hard just a lot of work!

Funny story about this...DH's grandma forgot it was Christmas ( ) and didn't make them this year. So grandpa got them from the bakery and they were horrible. We didn't let the grandparents know but they were bad. DH insists he is going to learn to make them for next Christmas..can't wait to see this. I must email him this recipe!
