Does anyone have a wedding web page?

If so do you plan on telling your guests about it? How are you spreading the word?

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

we're putting our site on the bottom of our STD's... Josh and Nicki's Page

It's not updated with any actual wedding info yet...FH is a bit slow with that, but he'll have it complete by the second week of November with BM's page and all the goodies.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

Thanks, that's a great site you made! I was thinking of doing something on The Knot or Macy's gives you one when you register with them!

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

I can't wait till it's all done......I did the knot one also, but I liked FH's design's better. Plus--we got joshandnicki.com ---can't get much easier (although some of our friends can't remember who's name is first)

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

We made one on the weddingchannel.com.

We printed a little card up (the business cards you can get at staples) and put it in with our engagement party invites. Since not everybody who is invited to the wedding was invited to the EP, we are also having it put at the bottom of the STDs.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

we did a free one with the wedding channel. i liked it becauase you could choose a charity and then if your guest accessed your regirstry online through your website and bought something ... a percentage goes to your charity. I chose The special olympics.

We let the guests know on the STD's

wedding website

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

We have a site and I totally forgot to send it out with my STDs which I planned to do. Then I figured I'd include a little card in our invites -- and forgot to do that too!!! Oh well! My bridal party did a pretty good job of spreading the word though.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

Would you recommend the knot or the wedding channel? Does anyone think one is easier to do than the other?

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

We put our address on the STD ... Check xxx.com for updates and details on the weekend activities. I created ours from scratch so not sure about weddingchannel vs knot.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

I did one as well. I put it on my STD and included details about the wedding, hotel info, what to do in the city, etc...

After we got married I put up my photos there and included the site in my thank you cards for people to see. I put up a lot of guest photos too and people got a kick out of that.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

FH bought me my own website for my 28th bday so his family in Israel could keep tabs on us - I put the wedding stuff on the site (www.bethgellman.com). Most of our friends and family know of the site and check the site often so we really didn't have to send out any notices.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

I put the info on the bottom of our STD's but with so many older (age 50 plus) people invited I don't think too many people have looked at it.

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

I made one for us, and so far we've just spread the word via email. We will be including it on our save the dates too. People seem to really enjoy checking it to find out updates. I also have a newsletter that people have signed up for which I send out whenever some major news has been posted to the site. It's fun for me and our friends and family!

Re: Does anyone have a wedding web page?

We do!
My best friend made our's. It was her engagement gift to us. She maintains it and takes care of all the updating and stuff.

I sent our website with our Engagement party thank you's.
