Does anyone have an friend with ?

A mother that is very nosey and all up in their business?
How do you deal with this?

Just listen to your friend vent and NEVER say anything bad about his/her mother.

My friends mom is out of control. She got into a fight with her FH and her mother ended up stepping in and fighting for her. Guys in the past have actually broken up with her b/c of it.

Sit back and thank god that the woman isn't your mother!!!!!

The Mother is the one trying to contact the friends and get involved with thier childs business..

I am trying to tell the Mother nicely but she doesn't want to hear it!

Remember blood is thicker than water! If you say something to the son/daughter about thier Mom...they might get defensive and tell you to Mind your own business and not talk about thier mother like that!!!

Theresa, this happened to me a few years ago. My best friend's mother used to call me ALL the time and keep me on the phone, talking about her personal life, and then complaining about her kids, my friend included. This woman would keep me on the phone for hours sometimes!! And because she was my friend's mom, I felt like I couldn't be rude or disrespectful so I just let her talk!!

Well, it caused problems with our friendship. That's what you get for trying to be respectful!! Finally my friend had to tell her mother to leave me alone, that I was HER friend and not her mother's. It was a relief!

I also agree, though, that you can't say anything bad about this woman to your friend. My friend would call me up and go on and on about her mom and her behavior (which was pretty bad). One day I actually said something, in agreement with my friend, and my friend totally blew up at me. We haven't spoken since! Naturally, it was also wedding related. It was a MESS.

Blood IS thicker than water. The golden rule seems to be: I can say horrible things about my mother and family as much as I want, but if you even so much as agree with me, you're a rotten person.

She is an old friend of Ronnie's that he called to come to our E party,
She never called back,
Too good to be true.
Just called 2 weeks ago to say she was sorry and talk about all her drama.

She has issues with her ex.
She has an order of protection against him yet they hang out.
I don't need her drama in my life.

I wish she didnt' call.
I should just change my #.
Anyway the mother emails me non stop asking us to get involved.

Ugh. It sounds to me like this girl is one of those girls who thrives on misery and drama. She's in a bad relationship, gets an order of protection, and the goes and hangs out with the guy? Then she probably wonders why she's so unhappy.

DUH!!!!!!

Since she's not a good friend, and her mother is also causing you problems, then I think you did the right thing by putting her mother in her place.

Why give your time and energy to these people, when they are giving you nothing, not even good friendship, in return? They're like vampires, thriving off other people to fill their vacant lives. You're better off without them both.
