95% of the dresses out there seem to be strapless. I hate the idea of showing my arms and would love to add 3/4 sleeves to a strapless dress . People say it can be done, but I cant picture it, does anyone have any pictures?

99% of the dresses can have sleeves added to them - exception to the halter style dresses.
Here's my dress:

Why thank you! I wasnt sure if, when converting a strapless to a sleeved dress, if there were certain types of tops that were easier to add sleeves to?
Im clueless about dresses!!

When I went to RK Bridal, I saw a Watters dress that was strapless - it was a corset top, and they told me that they can add straps or sleeves to it. wedding dresses are not 'in stock' and custom made (in essence) - so if you ask for sleeves w/a v-neck but the dress you try on is a corset top, they will make it - obviously if you pay.
Have you considered just having your dress custom made? I went that route and ended up getting my dress and veil for $800.

My dressmaker is in Washington Heights - Unfortunately, I no longer have her information, but could possibly get it.
HOWEVER, there are amazing dress makers out there, and there are a few brides here that you can FM - itslaurie. & gothbride.

My dress has 3/4 length sleeves.
At first I thought it might look a bit dated, but every time I try it on I get so teary eyed and just know its the one!!

I didn't add sleeves but a halter strap...if you want a pic let me know but obviously that was a bit easier.

I added sleeves to my strapless dress. Here is some picture
These are some of the ones I have on my computer, but you can find a ton in my review on the review board. I have to rave about the shop that did it, Angel's went above and beyond until I found the exact sleeve I wanted. They redid the sleeves at least 3 times for me. I went to other salons about doing the same thing and they all pretty much told me it would be impossible, but Angel's made it possible. If you want anymore info FM me.

Bumping this up - Anyone else have photos where you have added sleeves to a dress - esp a BM dress?

wow that is gorgeous... very similar in style to mine.
Re: Does anyone have pics of a dress where you added sleeves to it?
I did it with mine! RK Bridal - its a Casablanca dress, and MOST Casablanca's can have a sleeve added! Here's my album with the original; i tried it on recently and the sleeves look great, no pic on this pc tho.
I did it as a seasonal thing, my wedding's in november and didn't want a strapless/spaghetti strap, to me it looks 'weird' for that time of year!

I added cap sleeves to my reception gown (1st photo). I had my ceremony gown made with 3/4 sleeves (2nd photo). Hope this helps! Cheers!
