Does anyone have pics of their Bay Window treatments?
I have been living in this house for 1 1/2 years now & still can't find the right window treatment for our LR bay window. The previous people just had Vertical blinds on it, I'm trying to figure out whether to keep them & just embellish or get rid of them completely & start from scratch. Please-I need ideas & pics if you have them!!!! TIA

def. a great post!! i have 2 huge bay windows and all we have up are blinds!! I have looked everywhere and can't find anything!

I would use roman blinds or wooden blinds with Valance/Scarf, or a large beautiful rod with drapes....I personally don't like Verticals - they are outdated looking. JMHO - don't mean to offend. That link above has beautiful ideas.

We had nothing on ours for a LOOOOOONG time too.
We ended up with blinds & a valance ... I'll take a picture.

I have wood blinds that are hung inside the window so we have use of the ledge. I was thinking of hanging to sconces and draping a scarf. I'm not too sure yet. If anyone has a pic. of that can you please post. Thanks!

We have 2 matching large bay windows in the front of our house, one in the kitchen and the other in the living room. The previous owners had vertical blinds on both and I wasn't a big fan. We replaced the kitchen blinds immediately and what a difference! We now have pleated shades, there are 4 - for each window. It looks great and you can see the bay window from the inside now too (you can't with the vertical blinds unless they are totally open) plus I have more use of the window ledge. We still haven't done it in the LR yet, but plan on doing so this spring.

Wendy, that's such a beautiful valance - and what a nice deal too!! Our living room is so boring - we've been there for almost 3 years now and all we have up are vertical blinds (very nice ones though!) I've been toying with the idea of a valance too, and your windows look so nice that I think I'll start doing some serious shopping, so thanks for sharing!! What is it about living in a house and taking FOREVER to do simple things like find window treatments? We never repainted anything either - all the rooms are the same original ivory color from when we moved in
