I've been really wanting to get extension for my wedding day and i was thinking of wearing my hair down. I was curious if anyone has pic, or if anyone has experience with them, i dont want it to be uncomfortable.

Clip in!! They were snapped in place and ready to go in about 1 min lol plus it took me even less time to take them out later that night

hope you can see through my veil...honestly if she didnt tell me she was puttnig extensions it, i never would have known...noone could tell they looked & felt EXACTLY like my own hair

mine were glued in. clip ons might not hold well if you have thin/silky hair... and the ones that are sewn are a pain to get out if you want them out the day after. I went to the local supply store and bought about 10+ft of curly extensions. my MOHs sister did my hair, she cut and glued the tracks on and curled my natural hair the next day I took a shower and they were still there. however my eyelashes that were guaranteed by a professional to last at least a week were all over my face having lasted 2 days.
maybe i'll have her put the rest in this weekend...

there are 2 wonderful options.. clips or a protein 'glue' that looks OUTSTANDING.. the second option is more expensive but lasts a long time

I have baby fine thin hair and wore clip on extensions and do they stay on well don't worry. I had my clip on extensions from 11am, reception ended at 1:30am and we got to the hotel at 3am and let me say that i slept with the extensions and next day when i woke up and dh and i got food and walked around the city, i kept my extensions on and they stayed well. The trick is to tease that section a little bit that the clip gets hooked onto. Also, i forgot what its called but its this spray used to put on top of the hair before putting the clip on and stays well. Ive also put the extensions on myself other times and they stayed on well even when i put them on. I didnt want real extensions on HM so this was a great option. Ive had real extensions and took forever to wash and blow dry and knew for HM i didnt want that.

My hairdresser does them, she did the clip in ones for me for a formal event and matched my hair perfectly, they stayed in until I ripped them out the next day. She was trained by the GreatLengths hair extension company so she's got the machine and she gets the hair from them. I know she wears the permanent ones and I've seen her do the permanent ones on a friend (and then remove them when she got tired of them like the next weekend lol). Her name is Katie, she works in RVC, FM me if you would like her info! I will look for the pic of me with the extensions.

I'm looking to do clip ons too, but I want to use someone who has a lot of experience with extentions because like everyone else, i'm kind of nervous! Plus, I have thick hair, so I dont want it to look poofy lol Any ideas? I wanted Claudia Pedala, but she is booked on my date :(

Def. do the clip ons, I had the real ones done a few years back where they take small sections of the 'hair' and glue them to small sections of your real hair at the root and while it looked great, it cost me $1,000, it was not necessarily painful but took a lot of getting used to and then because they had to cut my hair to blend it with the extensions, my hair was all f-ed up when I had them taken out and I had to have it cut short. The whole reason I wanted the extensions to begin with was so that my hair would be long while I was still waiting for it to grow and in the end since I had to cut it my hair was shorter than before I did them. I went to a very reputable salon and like I said, they looked great but I didn't feel it was worth it at all. I'll never do that again!

you paid $1,000 for extensions!? God, I only paid $10.00 They are so easy to put in too... I guess because I've been around hair my whole life... but DAMN! $1,000!?
