Since its December 1, and new years is less than a month away, i was wondering if anyone had plans for new years yet?
What did everyone do last year? and did you have fun doing it?

Hopefully a party somewhere, lots of alcohol and of course my fh!! Last year a friend (fh's best man) had a party..it was a blast!

Me and FH just sat in the apt. got drunk ate some apps. and watched movies. It was the perfect NYE... I don't need a big to-do

That's exactly what we did! I always find NYE so disappointing - you get all dressed up and expect it to be the best night of the year, and it's always just okay. For me, anyway. Maybe I party wrong? Anyway, we decided to just have a nice quiet evening in last year, no huge expectations, and ended up having a blast.

last year we treated everyone to dinner, at a place called corbin and reynolds in long beach, then we asked every over to our apartment afterwards, i drank way to much and then puked my guts up all nite. there was 8 of us last year.
The year before that me and one other couple went to carltun on the park, it was just dinner, and no dancing or anything else. It was ok, the food wasnt anything spectacluar and it was pretty expensive.
I saw this year westbury manor is having something, and code bleu is performing. i heard they are pretty good from reviews on this site.

last year was fun and very low key - FH's friends got a new apt so three couples went there and we made lots of junk food and drank a lot - we did the whole count down and then watched movies
i dont like fancy stuff really . . . im a simple gal!
this year my cousin wants to have a party but we are trying to figure out a way we can invite only our friends and none of her DHs LOL

So embarassing, but last year i was sleeping by 11:00
This year we decided with some friends that we are going to start a new years tradition of celebrating together at one of our houses, so this will be our first annual NYE party. we are so excited There will be about 8 of us there

yup last year we went out to dinner and had everyone back here after and played cranium and it was the best new years eve. I hate going out in the city, it's so overrated

Last year I went to Leonards. This year all my friends don't want to do that type of thing again, and I don't think I want to do it either. City clubs are so annoying on NYE so we are confused. I came up with a great idea for all of us but don't know if it will happen but I wanted all of us to go to FI's house in the poconos for the whole weekend, we could've gone skiing, shop at the outlets, hang out and have a party at his house. Looks like it wont happen so instead I think we're all doing that for MLK weekend.
I am even thinking that FI and I should go to the poconos alone and do our own little thing, not sure though

That's exactly what FH and I are doing! My parents just got a house in the Poconos and said we could have it for the weekend. Skiing, eating, drinking, shopping...what else could you want And no one has to drive which is a big plus.

Seems like this is the thing to do lol. Yeah thats exactly what I thought too, it couldn't get better. Theres a great restaurant in the poconos, the food is sooooo good and a very nice atmosphere, you should definitely try it out: the sycamore grille, and heres the address: Main and Oak Streets, Delaware Water Gap PA, 18327

last year I worked 8am to 9pm.
went home and wanted to go to sleep.. but stayed up until like 12:01.. and was right back in work the next morning at 7:45 am.
Im a manager in a supermarket.. and we have to stay open for everyone to buy out our beer/ soda/ and chips.
I'll be doing the same.. since it looks like I will be putting off my job search until the holidays are over.

no plans yet... either hang out at someones house or just go to a local bar maybe... nothing crazy. Last yr we went out to dinner & then went to the movies & the movie let out around 11pm.. & then we went to dave & busters to watch the ball drop and had a few drinks.. it was nice.....i've gone to a catering hall once & i had a great time.. but you just have to be in the mood to go out.

FH and I go to church and then I dunno I really wanna party and spend the next day sleep together.
Last year we went to church and then went into manhattan for dinner!

well this NYE will be a lonely one.. FH has to work (NYPD) so im trying to talk FSIL who i just love and her girl friends to go to majestic gardens for their NYE party so that we can see the in action! Thats what id really like to do.. but its on the expensive side... so i may be home alone!

Last year we were in Florida visitng my parents for Christmas/New Years. We went to Pleasure Island at Disney (its just an island of bars and clubs). It was fun but we left at 11 because we were too tired to stay up!
We're like grnadma and grandpa, I swear!!! So sad.
