I'll Be by Edwin McCain
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful Stop me and steal my breath Emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
I'll Be your cryin' shoulder I'll Be love suicide I'll Be better when I'm older I'll Be the greatest fan of your life
Rain falls angry on the tin roof As we lie awake in my bed You're My Survival, You're My Living Proof My love is alive and not dead
Tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
I'll Be your cryin' shoulder I'll Be love suicide I'll Be better when I'm older I'll Be the greatest fan of your life
I've dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead Tuned in, turned on, remembered the things you said
I'll Be your cryin' shoulder I'll Be love suicide I'll Be better when I'm older I'll Be the greatest fan of your life
btw - lyrics are easy to find on google. I just typed in: I'll be lyrics edwin

do you have green eyes? Its a pretty song but a bit one sided (and desperate) for a wedding song (I think).

This is just my opinion, but I would not want a song with the word 'suicide' in it for my wedding song. It is a pretty song, but not right for a wedding.

that is my wedding song.
yes, it has the word 'suicide' but there are many songs out there that have some iffy conotations. like 'to make you feel my love'-the line where he sings: i know you havent made your mind up yet or something like that!
and i dont really think it is one sided. my fh and i have been thru some pretty heavy stuff, individually and together. to me it can be interpreted either way.
