Does anyone know....

What off-peak wedding months are?

I just heard from one reception place that

Sept & Oct are the busiest months &

Nov. & Dec. are the second busiest months

I keep hearing November through March, with the exception of the holidays and major weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines)

maybe.....who knows - this guy sounds batty.....12 mos out of the year cannot be prime time.

and to further back you - since i am a november bride - even all my vendors are saying things to me like 'no problem - its november - i wont be too busy' - so this guy is definitely trying to dupe you....

I think these are the 'new' off-peak months.

I was told by most of the halls I went to that June, Sept and Oct are the most popular months.

Off season was January through march.

i used to work at a catering hall... our off peak months were Jan-March... there were hardley ever any events those three months (except v-day) and our manager often took his vacation then...

Most of the places I went to said Nov- March was 'off season' and April - Oct was 'peak season'. I was told that November is becoming increasingly popular but, as a Nov bride, I was also told not to worry about not getting the vendors I wanted because they're traditionally less busy then. Good luck!

The bridal shop owner where I bought my dress said this has been the busiest October and November she's ever seen for weddings, and she's been in this business a long time.
