We talked to places that told us it is only February that is not busy. I found that hardly any place lowered prices for other months. Some vendors were booked for my date. Even the OOT rooms were the same price as for my friend's wedding last summer!

Re: Does anyone know....
I was quoted very low prices for Jan & Feb, March was slightly higher. (It went up like $10 per head as the months got closer to spring & summer).

What off-peak wedding months are?
I just heard from one reception place that
Sept & Oct are the busiest months &
Nov. & Dec. are the second busiest months
All I can think of is that they might do a lot of holiday company parties. They occur during Nov, Dec

Re: Does anyone know....
January-March is considered off peak. For some places it's Dec - April.

What reception place told you that? The slowest months are November through March, and that is when you get the best prices. You many also try October and April. May through Septemeber is the busiest and therefore most expensive....

I also have to say that many places I checked out lowered their prices, even vendors. I got almost half off of per plate!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Does anyone know....
I thought so too but apparently Nov. is currently one of the most popular rimes to be married.... so they jacked the price for Nov...

November is getting more popular - I got prices for Nov and Dec. Nov is more expensive then Dec.

I keep hearing November through March, with the exception of the holidays and major weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's)
hmmm....i have to agree.....November through March is what i have heard as well.
what is he telling you? maybe he is trying to dupe you??
I think so too I'll ask what off peak is, maybe I'll get a better price for July
maybe.....who knows - this guy sounds batty.....12 mos out of the year cannot be prime time.
and to further back you - since i am a november bride - even all my vendors are saying things to me like 'no problem - its november - i wont be too busy' - so this guy is definitely trying to dupe you....
I am a November bride also and I did not get any cheaper prices for booking in November. Some places that I looked at were booked for my day and this was a year and a half ago.

Re: Does anyone know....
The off season is January - March at most places, some it is only January and February. November and December are cheaper than other months though.

YES. I am extremely excited. However, I am a little overwhelmed with all of the things that need to be done. I just don't want to miss anything.
