fh and i stayed at the Occidental in Aruba 2 summers ago and had a GREAT time!! I loved it and would def recommend it. The all-inclusive is great because you can eat and drink as much as you want. Even if you want to go out to some of the restaurants in Aruba a few nights, its still worth it bc you don't have to pay for all the drinks plus 2-3 meals a day. The food is pretty good...i mean its not fabulous but we dont go away to eat so its really not what we cared about...its pretty good for an all-inclusive place. The four restuarants they have there are good but def make reservations as soon as you get there for the whole week bc they book up. The pools and beaches are really nice and all the staff their are great. We also went to the casino downstairs each night which was a lot of fun! We would go back for sure!
