Does anyone know a good dressmaker??

The bridesmaid dress that I picked out only comes in sizes 3-16 and one of my bridesmaids needs an 18. The company won't budge and said they don't make that size. Does anyone know of a dress maker I can go to with the bridesmaid dress that can make a replica in a size 18?? Any help is greatly appreiciated - I love this dress we picked and really don't want to have to pick a new one because of a 1 size difference!! Help!!

Well, my best friend from LI put me in touch with a woman in Port Jeff who does alterations and makes dresses. The last time that I was there, she was showing me a wedding dress that she made and it was gorgeous! In fact, I have kept her in the back of my mind in case I run into a jam like that one that you are in. Her name is Kathy and I can get her number for you if you would like. She is amazing. I am definitely going to get my dress altered at her house...when I get one :) I am not sure how far from Port Jeff you are, but if it is not too much of a hike, let me know and I will get her phone number for you.
