Personally, I'm using Limewire, but I rarely use it.

Yes, but you don't have to share if you don't want too.

How do I not share with others?

In the settings you have options. I don't remember which option exactly, I think it's something like folders to share, I put 0.

You can tinker with the settings and the options to be sure that even if you do share, they only have access to the one folder where you have your music, and not your entire hard drive.

Also, is it just me, or does the iPod and Limewire not always get along? (or do I just have a crappy iPod?)

I once tried to transfer my songs (many of which were downloaded from Limewire, the rest from CDs) back from the iPod to my computer after cleaning out the hard drive using the iPod Agent, and also trying to copy and paste.

I lost 1300 songs!!! That was half of my damn library!! Luckily I managed to print up an entire list of all the songs, so I know what I'm missing. But still!! 1300!! How does that happen?? The only other conclusion I can come up with is that the iPod Agent program didn't agree with something.

it's legal because you pay for it and you can get an entire CD for like $1.50

It's great, but if you DL it, don't forget to DL the explorer as well. I highly recommend it and it isn't as expensive as the other sites.

Piece of advice...SCAN EVERY SONG you download with an anti-virus before playing it!!! Trust me!! I usually wait until I have a lot downloaded and just scan the entire folder.

Whatever folder you designated for your music files should be where the file downloaded to. You may be able to look up the folder location in your settings. Then go to the folder and open the file to play it.

Also on your search options, just select audio files. This saves you from downloading what you think is a mp3 actually ending up being an avi or some other type of file.
