I've never donated before, but does anyone know if when you donate in a deceased love one's honor, when they notify the family, do they disclose how much you donated?
It varies by organization. When my dad passed away we asked for donations to the fire company he was in and the Diabetes Association. The Fire Co. notified us periodically. ADA sent individual notes stating each donation, who it was from and they also included a thank you note and pre-addressed envelope. I was so appreciative because it made it very easy for me to thank those who donated.

i've donated to breast cancer and cancer society and neither disclose the amount
