Which in German means 'Middle Pain'? It is a sign of ovulation, the egg actually is being release from the ovary.
My question is... If I felt that today am I too late TTC or right on target?

Re: Does anyone know about 'Mittelschmerz'??
They are the cramps that just precede the egg bursting from the ovary andsometimes right after ovulation. I get them very badly which is why I went on the pill. I am not sure (ask a gyno) but I think it is pretty close in timing to ovulation.

You should have done the deed 1-3 days ago but get off the computer and go see DH cause your egg only has 24 hours to live while floating down the tube!!!

so you should be BDing before you feel the o'ing pain?
By the way that is an actual medical term! The first time i heard it i worked in a medical office and thought they were joking!

From what I have read, you are supposed to BD before the egg is released, so the spermies are there to greet the egg. But if you BD NOW you should be ok :) Good Luck!!!!!!!
KPtoys is right though, I just looked it up and go and BD asap!
he he he maybe tonight!!

Well girls -- I am a little sad because I guess my timing was off.
AF greeted me today after work. First officially month trying. Oh, well....

AACK. I am not the type to post personal stuff but I don't know where else to go with this question and I came across this post.
I am NOT ttc (but good luck to those of you who are) but did just go off the pill for other reasons. Before I was on the pill, I used to get middle pain somewhat badly but it was really just more annoying than painful. This is my first month off the pill and WHAM ... I was like doubled over in pain this weekend. It's STARTING to ease up but I don't ever remember it like this before.
Anyone know whether it gets worse right after you go off the pill? Anyone have any good home remedies to help?
