Does anyone know anything about Medical Transcription?

I have been looking for work that I can do at home because my disability is going to run out at the end of June and it doesn't look like I will be able to go back in a regular office anytime soon. A co-worker of my DH knows someone who is looking for people to do medical transcription at home. It sounds like something that would be good for me, since I could do as much or a little as I wanted to(you get paid by the page) depending on how I feel.

If anyone has ever done this or knows anything about it, I would appreciate the info. Thanks.

I went to school for Medical Billing after i got laid off because I wanted to be able to do something from home. I started to work for a company on LI and found out that its not what I wanted to do. I think it was the crappy company and not the work.

I know with medical billing you usually get a % or the total claim recovered. Im not sure how medical transcription works.

If they are looking for some part time help, please let me know. Id like to pick up a little extra cash.
