like is the effect of these pictures done by the way the photo is shot (like lighting/lens) or is it shot normal and photoshopped afterwards?

You can adjust the color with different lenses as you're taking pics, but you can also adjust it with photoshop. Most likely they go back and photoshop some of them.

I'm pretty sure it's just the camera they are using.

But I'm sure they're also touched up.

he could have screwed on a lens filter over his lens, but this day and age, it was probably done in a photo editing program by either layering on a filter, or changing the temperature of the photo.

The photos are photoshopped unless they are black and white. There is an option on the SLR lens to take it in black and white. My photographer, however, was pointing and shooting constantly, so I know she wasn't playing around with the filters and whatnot. This is an example of a pictures she took, but photoshopped it to look more vintage.

You can see 'cracks' in the walls and sky. Obviously, those were photoshopped.

Sorry, I didn't look at the site until after I posted. Those are all natural shots for the most part. Every photographer has to touch up their pictures a little bit. The photographer can control the way the pictures look by setting the aperture (how much light comes through the lens), shutter speed (how long the lens is opened- which you adjust when your subject is moving), and...the ISO speed kind of affects the shutter speed /aperture you can use to get the type of exposure you want. I know, it's a little complicated...but like I said, that photographer seems to have taken most of his pictures naturally, just by changing the settings on his camera.
