I've been wanting to do this since it first came out but when it first came out it seemed very expensive and insurance wasnt covering it.
I just saw on the side Patriot Dental Center and they do it. I emailed them asking for information about it.
Has anyone used invisalign? If so what were the results? Did you like it? any other info you have would be awesome.
This is something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Sorry, I don't have information, but I'm VERY interested in it as well. Did they get back to you? Do you know how much they go for now and whether or not insurance covers any of it? Thanks

I haven't done it, but what did you want to know about it? I have a gf who's doing it.
insurance does NOT cover this. it's cosmetic. AND how much they cost depends on how long and extensive the problem is that's being corrected.

You could sort of tell she had the piece in there b.c of the way she was speaking.. it's like the same kind of mouthpiece they make when you have your teeth bleached..
she has crooked overlapping teeth..
she only takes them off to eat, drink, whatever,,
I don't know offhand approx. how much they cost her.. she'll have to wear them for like 1year and a half..

I asked my dentist about this maybe a year ago and was told that one of their clients had Invisalign and I think it ran about $3000. Of course, I don't know how long the person used it, or how well it worked and the price could have gone down since then. I wanted that for my bottom teeth b/c I had braces when I was a kid but my bottom teeth are still a little crooked and it irks the crap out of me! Let me know what you find out!

Chippa I believe if your insurance will cover braces they will cover at least part of the cost of this - My friend had good insurance which covered her dental work and she was covered by it

I could kick myself - I had braces when I was a kid, and didn't wear my retainer and they all shifted back. One of my bottom teethhas completely pushed forward and has now pushed my front tooth forward, and it's affecting the way I talk now!!!!!

To answer your questions, Invisalign is wonderful and invisible, the cost ranges according to your needs. Generally, if you need the entire mouth (both arches) it ranges from $4500-$4800 which is about $1500 less than conventional metal braces. We do offer payment plans as well as financing to help you, insurance does cover orthodontics, if your employer offers it. Since you are not getting married until Sept., you have enough time to actually see improvement and movement. Of course the day of the wedding, if you wish you could always take the trays off (but no-one would noticy them anyway). Very few dental insurance companies cover braces for adults, unless you need them as a result of an accident or something. Regular braces are expensive so $3000 doesn't sound too bad to me. My dad paid that for my braces when I was 11.

I never had braces as a child but i have a tooth that is pushed out and it bothers the Hell out of me.
When my wisdom teeth came in they shifted my teeth because I have a small mouth and my dentist wouldnt pull them because they are healthy teeth that didnt reguire to be pulled.
So I've been wanting to do this to fix and align my teeth especially for the wedding.
I am hoping to go in soon for a consultation and get more details about it.

Good luck with it! If you remember, can you let me know how the consultation goes. I'll probably never do it, but the fact that everyday I feel like this bottom tooth is moving (it's very noticable), and has affected my top teeth , makes me want to do it.
I was reading a story to one of my classes the other day, and one of the 1st graders said 'look - Mrs. xxx has a loose tooth', I wanted to crawl under a rock and die!!!!!

My brother is using them right now and they work great, personally I can't see them at all and progress seems to be moving along smoothly.
I recently had to have braces put back on (I had them on as a teen) b/c my teeth grew apart and shifted... I had the clear porcelain ones bc i couldn't get the invisalign b/c of my particular bite. But RE insurance mine covered I think around $2500 of it and the rest I paid monthly. Most dental insurance plans offer some compensation for adult ortho work. And it was well worth it my bite is great and I couldn't be happier with the results!
