They don't seem too difficult to me ....
You need a pole/stick of some sort -- maybe a curtain rod, with pretty end pieces?
And fabric, folded over the pole and sewn ....
And then decorate!
(try looking for aisle runner instructions for painting/drawing on fabric)

also seems like you could use those decorate end pieces that they sell specifically for curtain rods and either glue them or screw them on...
