There is a tv show on HGTV Typical MaryEllen. She gives all sorts of cleaning and organization tips. Maybe you can check out the web site. Try www.hgtv.com

Re: Does anyone know how to clean

I just looked it up and found this

How To Clean Rhinestone Jewelry

Fast, easy and safe way to clean rhinestone jewelry. Equipment: A soft clean makeup brush, ammonia-base non-soapy glass spray cleaner, soft clean cotton rags or paper tissue; an optional wide flat tray.
Difficulty Level: easy Time Required: 15 minutes, more or less

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's How:
Put all your equipment on the tray if available.
Brush rhinestones lightly first to remove loose dust.
Spray brush with glass cleaner to clean, dry it well with tissue or rag.
Spray glass cleaner again lightly on cleaned brush, not on jewelry.
Brush stones again with sprayed brush to remove surface oils and grime.
Dab stones completely dry with rag or tissue, don't rub hard.
Polish stones lightly with rag until they sparkle.

Tips:
Test cleaning method on a non-valuable piece of jewelry until you get the right touch.
If irridescent [aurora borealis finish] rhinestones, use only glass cleaner on tissue to dab, do not brush; finish can get scratched.
Never wet or soak rhinestone jewelry in any liquid. It damages the foil.

Re: Does anyone know how to clean

And here's more

Dust is abrasive to rhinestone jewelry and weather elements cause deterioration. Put your bridal rhinestone jewelry in a soft zipped-up pouch so that the dust won't easily get to it and store it in a dry, cool and dust-free environment.

Despite your efforts, dust will sooner or later find its way to your beloved jewels. Therefore, you'll need to do some slight cleaning from time to time. Here are some cleaning tips:

Use a glass cleaning agent. Mild soapy water is also okay. However, please remember do not spray the cleaning agent directly to your bridal rhinestone jewelry or submerge the piece into soapy water or a running faucet. Rhinestone jewelry with foil backing should never be submerged into water.

Spray a little of the cleaning agent onto a soft clean cloth. Make sure that it is not too wet, just barely enough to get the dust off the piece. For the hard to get to places, use a soft tooth brush or Q-tip with tiny little bit of cleaning agent. Squeeze the excess wetness off the Q-tip or soft toothbrush so that it is barely damp.

Make sure that you are gentle when cleaning your bridal rhinestone jewelry. If you use a toothbrush, make sure that it is soft and not scratchy. Be particularly careful with Aurora Borealis stones as they can be scratched easily.

After you clean your bridal rhinestone jewelry, leave them out for at least an hour. Make sure that they are completely dry before you put them away. This is very important because moisture causes deterioration to your jewels.

I would also recommend cleaning your bridal rhinestone jewelry with a jewelry polishing cloth. It is inexpensive, only a few dollars a piece. If the cloth is getting dirty, please do not re-use it, it is time to get a new one. Otherwise, you'll just be applying dirt to the jewels. You can purchase jewelry polishing cloths at jewelry stores or through the internet.
