Re: Does anyone know how to make a wishing well??

here was the one at my shower..i LOOOVED IT! and mt bm's did such a good job! (i think the pic will help....ill give you directions if needed...but i dont think you will need them!)

They decorated the umbrella, and used broom sticks for the sides....you can use anything though; swiffer, brooms, mop etc...

Re: Does anyone know how to make a wishing well??

Mine was a hamper, too. It didn't have a top, which was fine. For my sister's shower, I found a hamper that had a cover and made that the top. You can really make one out of anything!

Re: Does anyone know how to make a wishing well??

My mom made one for my shower last week. she took a plain plastic laundry basket and wrapped a colored platic tablecloth around it . Then she wrapped the handles of a broom and mop in crepe paper. She dressed it up with a pretty garland of flowers. It was really simple and inexpensive. I'll post pics when i get them.

Re: Does anyone know how to make a wishing well??

For my sister's shower we got a tall kitchen garbage can, stuck a mop in it (with the head up) put an apron on the mop, and draped some tulle around the top of the garbage can so it looked like a skirt under the apron. You need to get one of those mops where the mop head is string like, so it looks like hair to kind of create a person out of the mop.
