I have THE SAME problem!!!! Except my Dr. did it while he was actually piercing my ears....and you know I never thought about how my DOJ earrings would be affected by that!!!! Thanks for bringing it up.....did you ever find out how much it would cost to get fixed? My mom did once when I was in HS & they told her about $2000. So annoying!!!!

There's also this thing you can buy, it's kind of like a little sticker you put behind your ear that can create more support for dangling earrings. I haven't used it yet but I bought it because I have small earlobes and don't have a lot of support for heavy earrings. You could cut the thing to fit your ear and just arrange your hair so that it's hidden if it shows. Maybe look into this before you change your earrings!

insurance will not cover it...it's considered cosmetic surgery. however, i had a dermatologist say they can try to write it off as something else. still an expensive surgery regardless...i was told between $500-$800.
i also knew a girl that had the surgery and pierced earrings never laid right in that ear.
i had mine ripped out by my bro and just deal with it 14 years later....sh!t, i grew to like the little pac man :D
