Does anyone know of a place with a nice outdoor area where kids can run around during the party?

Must be in Suffolk County. I would like to have a party and will be having a few children invited and I think we would have the best time if there was an outdoor place where they could run around, rather than being cramped up in a restaurant indoors. I would like it to be catered with an open bar.

Does anyone know of a place that has a nice outdoor area.. the only one I know of is Majestic Gardens. TIA!

Funny this is posted...we just got home from a Christening where the place is half outdoors and half indoors. Kids were running around outside, and it was a beautiful space. It was Bates House in Setauket.

The only thing is you might have to bring in your own catering, I think. HTH!!

I should have been more specific. Im looking to have it catered, like a buffet with an open bar. I dont think they offer that there.

I'll ask DH's friend who had it there. There were about a good 60-70 people and it was really nice. They did allow liquor, but they had them in coolers.

I'll try to call them later and find out about the $$.

Don't have a telephone # and price for them yet, but I do have the directions if this helps!!!

LIE to Exit 62 North, Nicholls Rd
Follow North to end
Make right on 25A going East
Go through 4 stop lights
At 5th stop light (about 2 miles down) make a left onto Main St.
Go down about 1 mile through 1 stop light
(library will be on left)
Make a Right onto Bates Road.
Bates Rd turns into a dirt road which is long & bumpy.
Follow to the end of the park.

Check out the wharf house at founder's landing. It's right on the beach and on the beach is this little playground area. It's inexpensive but they don't cater, but since you'd be saving money on the site fee you could probably get some nice off site catering done. It's something like $400 for the day of and $200 for the night before if you want time to set up.
