Depends on what you are looking for and what kind of cuisine but FH takes me to his favorite Italian restaurant on special ocassions. It's Amici... I believe in Mt. Sinai/Miller Place.

Down port there is Z Pita and Pasta Pasta Toast for breakfast and lunch. lombardi's on the sound also for lunch or dinner. HTH

Friends of the family owned (and I think still do) Saviano's, in Bohemia on Sunrise Hwy. It was delish last time I was there, and it's still popular.
