We own a Town House in Central Islip. FM me if you want more info. It's our DREAM home and it's VERY safe. We feel like God plopped it down just for us... and there are some that are for sale right now.

There are new condos/townhomes being built and should be ready by Spring next year called Islip Landing. Townhomes are starting at 450,000 and condo's start at 315,000. I believe they are considered in Central Islip. Not worth buying a town home for the prices of a house on your own property. Good Luck!

Check out Quail Run in Deer Park. The condos are reasonably priced, and really nice. I used to have a friend who worked maintenance there, and a friend who lives there now.

yes... those are RIGHT next door to my Town House complex! They're beautiful, but their Town Houses cost WAY more than what we paid for ours. With the condos in the new complex, I think you only get one floor. The Town House we bought has a basement, attic, porch, deck, 2 BR's, 1 and a half baths, living room with cathedral ceilings, dining room and a huge eat-in kitchen. It's a house... we just happen to have REALLY close neighbors - and never have to mow or shovel! And the community house has 3 pools (!), tennis courts, a gym, a rec room and a party room. We LOVE it. And the common charges are SO reasonable!

We own a townhouse in Smithtown....in Willow Wood. I have some pics if you click on my profile from when we first moved in and put in some new stuff! There are Willow Woods in Smithtown, Hauppauge, and Setauket; we are Willow Wood at Smithtown. Good luck! We bought it 2 years ago, fixed up, and moved in the night of our wedding! Now they are selling for mid $400s.
Also, the Tara development in Commack is nice.

saw the pics.. LOVE them!! your decorating taste is right on and everything looks fabulous-- the fireplace with the painting above it and the wood floors are amazing. i also fell for your kitchen table-- where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?
that development is one that we are considering along with the lakes in east setauket, hidden ponds, windcrest and the lakes at honey hollow! but i really LOVE willow wood (maybe we'll get lucky and one will go on sale!)

I did almost all my searching on www.mlsli.com that way you can target co/op - condo and specify areas or price range. I also like that alot of them show some pics so you dont waste time with something you know you wouldn't like. Good luck!
