I have to choose my cake, but they dont offer a cake tasting and I have nooooooooo clue what fondant taste like....anyone someone can describe it???

Agreed! I hate the taste of fondant. Too chewy. Looks nice though.

one of my co-workers made me this awesome cake in the shape of a palm tree and she used marshmallow fondant and it was so yummy, but got very, very sweet after a while.
is it more sweet than buttercream??

This ***** b/c buttercream tastes wayyyyyyyyy better but fondant cakes looks better! lol
I never tasted fondant, but i heard it isn't that great (my cake is fondant) ...but the style that I wanted of course had to be made with fondant! :-/

I don't like fondant OR butter cream , BUT i think fondant lookes prettier on cakes . I usually eat around both buttercream and fondant

I didnt read all the other posts yet but in my opinion it tastes like a$$! Yuck! It is so sugary and thick, you can pull it off in one whole sheet!

I'm not a fan of fondant. It is way too sweet and I don't like the consistency of it. However, it does make cakes look beautiful and it's easily peeled off.
