Does anyone know what fondant tastes like?

I have to choose my cake, but they dont offer a cake tasting and I have nooooooooo clue what fondant taste like....anyone someone can describe it???

every place will be different, what bakery does your RH use? maybe go to that bakery and buy something of theirs that is fondant

call your rh and ask them. From what i know, fondant is usually an upgrade when you get the cake through the RH so ask them first. Probably not true for all rh's but i think for many its an upgrade, so you'll want to know this first, unless they already told you the answer

Remember the chocolate hostess cupcake with the white squiggly? The squiggly was a bit firm and super sweet... fondant is just like that.

one of my co-workers made me this awesome cake in the shape of a palm tree and she used marshmallow fondant and it was so yummy, but got very, very sweet after a while.

people can have their opinions..but i dont think it tastes that good.and its weird..but its good because if you dont like it..it peels off the cake very easy

It's not an upcharge at HWC, they only do cakes with fondant....I asked about the cakes b/c FH and I were going to go to the bakery to do a tasting and Barb said she was in the process of trying to work something new out and she would keep me posted--so idk if that has happened yet, but I think they might be switching or something!
