My FI cousin lives in that area. They bought a really cute house for a reasonable price. The are is good and it's peaceful. His cousin works in queens and his wife works in Long Island. So it's not a bad deal for them
babylon is great! I don't live there but the town is amazing.
I live in west babylon, go out in babylon village all the time, they have the best restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The school districy is really, really small. One school for 7-12 grade, the homes are really nice, high taxes, but gorgeous place to live. Next time you are in the area go the The Argyle for dinner, it is the best place around.

I grew up in North Babylon. Babylon is a REALLY nice area. You have the train station, Flannigan's, Mary Caroll's, Argyle Grill, The Carriage House...SO many great restaurants..Posh Salon which is my salon and i SO love them (seriously, if you want your hair dyed go see Kelly...i've been with her for YEARS, she's amazing), Eternal Spa (see Tanya for all your waxing and facial needs. LOL). It really is a great place. Good luck.
We are looking at Babylon too I love it there plus FH wil be happy b/c of the bullet train into NYC is not too bad. We looked at some open houses last weekend. Love the area...grew up rt by so I know it pretty well.
i live in lindenhurst which is like 7 minutes from babylon..its an awesome town....the villiage itself is adorable...they ahave awesome shops and restaruants etc... id like to live there myself someday......
