If you thought it was rude sorry but I just think it was even MORE rude at what some of these people posted. 'I would rather have someone tell me the truth then pussyfoot around it'
If she was asking ' Do you like this idea/shirt/whatever' THEN you can really post whatever your opinion is. But I think in this particular thread if you did not ' Not like' your Ering there was no need to post here.

You are practically a newbie and obviously don't know these boards too well.

newbie or not these are public boards and we should be able to say what we like and not be attacked by other members just because we voiced our opinion, no one criticized the poster in a hurtful way, you really overreacted and should not try to dictate how we should respond.

I wish my e-ring was a lil different because I am having a hard time finding a matching band. I am having one custom made to fit my e-ring but then I wont be able to wear the band alone

Personally, I am sorry you don't like your e-ring, and I am even more surprised that some women won't wear them after their weddings!!!

I was bad about my ring. I was very worried that FI would get me something I didn't like, and he was all like 'you should love whatever I get you because it came from my heart' and I personally don't agree. I gave him a picture of EXACTLY what I wanted, and he made 1 minor change, which I love. I just wonder what he would have bought.......

You are lucky that FI is willing to change it and his feelings aren't hurt. I hope you either learn to love it or get something you do.

And as far as the one poster who said no one pays attention to your e-ring after you get married, said who??????

If I didn't wear my e-ring everyday and FI spent all that $$$$, he would kill me!!!!

Me too, however, if you get an eternity band (diamonds all around), then you can have it custom curved to fit and turn it around if you want to take your e-ring off!!!!

NO WAY!!! There are all different kinds of rings out there and sure there are girls w/ big 2k rings but mine is so unique and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! (well, i did pick it out But not w/ him. I saw it w/ my sister and she brought him there and i never even knew )

I was too taken aback that when this poster voiced her concern for her ring, some people starting writing how much they loved theirs.

I'm sorry..its RUDE. How would it go over if someone said 'i can't afford the place i want to get married at , i'm so upset' and people wrote back 'i just booked the place i love even though its so expensive!'.

It makes the person posting feel badly. Just think a little before you reply. Think about how you'll make the other person feel. This isn't about giving an honest review of a reception hall, or telling someone you don't like jewelry they picked if they ask for honest opinions....this situation turned into making someone else feel badly, whether it was intentional or not!

Ditto.
I was disappointed (at first) with the size of the center stone (looks like .5, definitely less than .75). My ring has baguettes as sidestones, so the center stone needed to be a little bigger in order to stand out.

Maybe I'll upgrade the center stone in a couple of years. FH won't probably notice.

for what it's worth, i don't think it's right to judge the feelings that are expressed on this board.

cresthollowbride, in my opinion your feelings are what they are. they are not good or bad, and i don't think you should feel badly about feeling how you do. this whole wedding thing - rings, halls, etc. - is SO stressful and can bring out feelings that you're not too proud of. please don't beat yourself up over it.

I LOVE my ring, it;s the one I wanted and more. My FI did a GREAT job!!
