My FH and I are doing a very small handfasting ceremony a year and a day before our wedding. It will be October 5, 2005, which is a Wensday. (Only ten people, none which are family) Here is the problem, I'm making the dress for this small ceremony, but I'm try to find the right fabric. Next year I plan on using that dress for my reception dress. I'll use the other dress for the wedding ceremony, then to tie in the handfasting ceremony to my wedding day I'll wear the old dress for my reception. Does anyone know a really nice fabric store that doesn't charge an arm and a leg? I also need a REALLY good selection. If anyone has any ideas I could really use the help. Thank you

Re: Does anyone sew?
I know that certain Fabric stores gives lessons. Maybe you can call the larger ones in your neighborhood and see if they do that. I know that when there were many Fabric Bonanza's they used to do that. (There are only two left I think...and they give lessons and they are VERY reasonably priced) I so want to learn to use a sewing machine one... I am going to register for one. Good Luck!
Edited to Add: If you are just looking for fabric and not lessons. Michaels, AC Moore...and I would personally go to Walmart. They have an excellent craft section. I hope that helps.
