Does anyone suffer from major guilt?

Does anyone suffer from major guilt?

I swear, I could make myself feel guilty over anything, and it's a problem.
For instance...right now I feel guilty about...
Scotty wanted to play a board game today and I didn't get to play one with him...I didn't spend enought quality time with Cassidy today...my house is a mess and I've done nothing about it...Scotty is sleeping over my sisters and he just got back from California last night...I forgot to pick up DH's pants at the dry cleaners today...I spent $$ tonight that I shouldn't have spent...thinking about going back to work makes me feel guilty because I woun;t be home 3 days a week to get Scotty off the bus...not going to work makes me feel guilty because we need the $$...the list goes on and on.
Am I nuts, because I swear I feel like I am

Honey, I think this is a struggle that many people have. Unfortunately, life is about balancing all of those things out. I don't have kids yet, but I know I feel the same way with JT and my family. I feel guilty if I don't visit my mother, but then in turn, I feel guilty that I don't spend enough 'alone time' with Jt. I spend money and have a guilty conscience for days because we have no house and hardly any money left from the wedding after paying debts, so I should be saving. I don't have any answers, but knowing you personally, I know you are an amazing mother and wife who tries to do everything she can to take care of her family. And sometimes that means the scales are going to be unbalanced. But it's the way of life. In the end, it DOES balance out. I promise you that.

Are you Catholic? I attribute my gnawing guilt to that...

My DH is always yelling at me because I feel guilty about EVERYTHING and I shouldn't. You're not alone.

And btw, I also blame it on my Catholic upbringing!

um, yes!
it's sunny and i'm not at the beach. guilt
i fought with my mom. guilt
i spent money today. guilt
i haven't exercised. guilt
i haven't cooked a good dinner lately. guilt
i should be at a birthday party right now but i fought with my mom, so i'm not going. bigger guilt

it comes with being a caring and concerned individual. notice that people who don't give a $h!t don't experience guilt?

Yes, all the time. I work fulltime so I feel guilty (mostly because other people make me feel this way) that I am not home with my kids.
