Does anyone work for a dentist/cosmetic dentist? HELP!

I had dental implants put in 2 years ago (first four, top teeth) and right now they are the hard plastic ones ( I am waiting to save up the money to get the porcelains but do not have the $$ right now) I noticed that they are starting to stain and my dentist tells me there is NOTHING I can do to fix this except to get the porcelains put in. I think thats complete BS because there has to be a way to brighten plastic implants. Does anyone know what I could do? Or refer me to a place that might be able to help? My dentist does not seem to understand that I do not have 8000 right now to give him to finish this and his only comment was 'well you werent supposed to have these in that long' ..... I just dont have the money right now and hes being a total jerk about it. Anyone know how I might be able to whiten them? I dont think regular tooth whitener would work since they arent enamel, but rather plastic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
TIA!

Re: Does anyone work for a dentist/cosmetic dentist? HELP!

Have you thought about calling other dental offices? Maybe you can get some advice over the phone. I understand that some offices will offer a payment plan as well.

FH has one porcelin tooth, he was in a bike accident when he was little and knocked his tooth out.

He did have a plastic one in for a long time, because the dentist was afraid that if he put the porcelin in right away, it would be too small to match the other teeth when FH grew up. When he was 17 or so, I remember him going to the dentist to have the plastic one replaced because it was starting to yellow and the dentist wanted to wait another year before putting the porcelin in.

So from my experience, I don't know if there's anything to brighten the plastic, because like I said, FH was given a new one. However, that was over 5 yrs ago, and it's very possible that something new has come out! I would call around... good luck!

Thank you shorty. I will try to call around although I am not sure if anyone will give me any information without physically going to the office for a visit. This sucks!!!!!

Re: Does anyone work for a dentist/cosmetic dentist? HELP!

Future, I just started going to my FH's dentist and I love him, he works with you on payment and on insurance, he will help you write things off...etc...He's in Brooklyn. If you want his info FM me....I'm doing my whitening with him, and I'm going to pick up my trays this Sunday.
