do they just play the one song? or do you choose from a couple? i dont want the original 'here comes the bride'song..is anyone having something different for the organist to play? thanks in advance!!

Our 'donation' to the church included the organist and the cantor. We met with the organist a few weeks before the wedding to go over the choices we had. We walked in to Canon in D (Pachelbel - spelling??) He even played a few bars of the music we considered so we would have a better idea of what we wanted.

I have to pay my church organist to play. Some songs to do are:
1. Cortege 2. Hornpipe 3. Trumpet Tune 4. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring 5. Trumpet Voluntary 6. Prelude in F Major 7. Canon in D
These are some suggested by my church because I am not allowed to use 'here comes the bride'.

Our fee included the organist and we could pick whatever songs we wanted.

Mine did. Sorry, I had the traditional song, but ask to hear other songs you can choose from that's what I did.
I made an appointment with the organist and he played a few songs for us to hear and choose from (Processionals, Responsorial Psalms, Gospel Acclamation/Verse, Recessional and some other Hymns)

ours came with the church... she called us about a month/month and a half before to talk about what music we wanted played for different parts of the ceremony.... she was very opened to suggestions and new ideas, so we had no problems
