and where did you get them? Im planning on visiting Miriams this week (my first fitting is this Monday) but if they don't have what Im looking for I need some suggestions... Im looking for a long line strapless bra, one with FIRM support, and no boning (i think it will show thru) Any suggestions?

I finally got my bra this weekend.
I went to Mary Lerner first, on the recommendation of Liz...but they didn't have anything left in my size and time was of the essence since my first fitting is Saturday. So I went to Olga's Corsette Shop on Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn, and they were amazing. She fitted me for a Goddess long line bra, and they tapered it to my body, stiched the front and back to make it smooth and took an inch off to make it fit perfectly. They were wonderful!
The Goddess bra is really good because you don't see the boning at all, it's not wire, it's plastic, and it's very flexible and comfortable...
i went to macy and bought a long line made by felina. the way it is is made, you don't see any seams. it was a little pricey, but isn't everything surrounding a wedding??

I got mine at Georgettes Bra & Lingerie. Their address is 964 South Broadway Hicksville, NY 11801 Their phone # is 516-433-7207 they are an 'old fasioned' place. meaning they have a bunch of styles. They will measure you & they have a fitting room. I swear by them!

Pretty Misty. I need a longline too, but I have DD's so i want a Minimizer, don't want the twins popping out all over the place I do need somthing that won't show through Chiffon, so I may wear a Chiffon or sheer dress that day I go shopping just to make sure I have to go asap tho' my fittings around the corner

A lot of these places will add boning to the cups too if you want. I know Olga's will do it if I think I need it after my first fitting. I'm a D...and this was my biggest concern. I want my bra to do the work, not my dress.

Olga's isn't far from Flower Den Liz....it's on Nostrand Ave...near Flatlands I believe, right on the corner. Just so you know, they close Saturday for the Sabbath, and re-open Sunday 10-6. Do not pay any mind to the rudeness of a few of the sales people, and try and find the little blond woman with short hair, she has an accent...she's very good. They are loud, but they know bras! lol.
I may go back for bathing suits...they have so many and they fit those to you also.

Definitely..it's not right in the same area, but you can just stay on Nostrand and go all the way down. It's a breeze! About 10-15 minutes from there I believe.

Thanks for the info girls (espec. jenn! LMAO) Misty- its great that you found perfection! Brooklyn is just too darn far for me... Liz- i too am a DD. and this is one of my biggest concerns, Im with misty I dont want my dress to do the work and these strapless bras just hold you up and out no in! I also want to find something, that by some miracle will make me look thinner! Goddess bras sound good. Im gonna check out miriams first... Tracy, thanks for all the info. they will be next on my list!

I never tried this...and there are strapless and tank summer dresses I want but I'm afraid to get because of the cousins!

I bought my crinoline and strappless corset bra from Macys Bridal Salon where I bought my dress. I tried on 2 different crinolines with my dres during my fitting. One was wayyyyy to puffy and full, and the other was just right!

Blums in Patchogoue had a GREAT selection, and the service was great, and the prices were good
They also have bathing suits, so you can pick up some suits for your honeymoon
