St Lucia.....

And I'm so jealous that some of you are going to Italy. FH and I were going back and forth between Italy (or Ireland) and St Lucia. We ended up with St Lucia because we felt Italy was more of an adventure type of vacation-we both want to be lazy bums and sleep on the beach all day and do nothing but relax. But maybe we'll go for our 1 year anniversary -(before the baby itch gets me).

We're thinking Bermuda or the Bahamas. I hear so much talk of St. Lucia but don't know anything about it!

Also, are you ladies booking the HM yourself or are you working with a travel agent? I know this is a stupid question but, do you pay the travel agent? If so, I feel like booking it on our own would be more cost-effective.

definately do check out BALI... JAMAHAL resort and spa in BALI...it was totally stunning.... also Phuket Island is very nice...check out a few of my honeymoon pics

We looked into Dubai and Maldives-

we wanted to just lay and do nothing

same here...we couldnt pick just one place, so we're staying at two. we're supposed to book soon! i cannnnooot wait to go there.

no there is no fee for the travel agent...and yes especially since im doing europe i am going to do it through a travel agent...also its good bc ill get the travelers insurance and if something does happen they can handle it all instead of me going CRAZY trying to rearrange everything...this happened to me, and also happened to others i know, you never know what can happen so better to be prepared

We are going to Greece. Mykonos, Santorini and Athens. I've already booked Mykonos Grand for Mykonos and Ikies for Santorini.

On a side note, FH and I just returned from a trip to Rome. We really liked it, it's a very interesting city.

For Greece that is where we are planning on and the islands of the Ionian. FH cant wait for Rome, how interesting is it , lol

The reason we went to Rome this year is b/c FH really wanted to make a 'stop' there on our way to Greece next year. To me, that is kind of like saying 'since we're in NYC, we might as well stopover in Chicago' Sooo....we did Rome for 4 days at the end of September.

Vatican City is amazing, definately worth seeing, but plan on spending a whole day there. Just fyi, I am not Catholic but was still very impressed.

Rome is modern city built on ancient ruins. Sprinkled throughout the city are various ruins, etc. Even if you are not a big history buff, it's hard not to find it interesting and iompressive. There really is nothing like it here in the US.

If you're not that impressed by it's historical aspects, there are also palazzos (town squares) scattered throughout the city with nice little cafes to grab a bite to eat or a drink.

To be honest, we really loved the city but are glad we did not choose to go for our honeymoon. It's a bit dirty (lot's of grafitti!) and certainly not 'relaxing' in the sense that you lounge around a pool or beach all day. That will be a bit more our speed when we visit Greece for our honeymoon!

We're going to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. We can't book yet because they're not booking for our date yet, but we're sooooo excited!!!

We're going to St marteen right after the wedding, but we're going to Hawaii in September.
I can't wait, we usually don't do any beachy, sunny vacations as we always go to Europe, so it will be an experience for us.

we're thinking either fiji or new caledonia...not booked yet, waiting for some timeshare paperwork to go through. it's a long flight but i definately think it's worth it.

We've been working with Travel Tom from AMEX (mentioned many times on here). We want to go to Italy too- just trying to decide what areas & want to make sure it's not too much touring and there's realxation as well. Right now, we're thinking start off in Rome- and travel south - Positano, Capri, etc... Open to Italy suggestions

We booked our HM with Tom...he's great to work with!
