There is a Wedding Show at a local hotel and I asked my FH if he wanted to come along and he was like 'Not really. I want to work in the house...anyway what am I supposed to do there?' And I was like 'Get ideas. I want to know what you like' And he didn't respond. I just don't feel like he cares about this wedding. Am I over exagerating or is it just a guy thing?

My fh did the same thing but when the day came and we were there he enjoyed himself!! I Think they think sometimes that there will be nothing but women there

My FH is like that too so I understand how you feel. A lot of times it's been like pulling teeth to get him to do anything wedding-related with me so I feel your pain! I think it's definitely a guy thing... they're not as interested in the planning details, and figure you'll take care of it. Don't worry though, I'm sure he's really excited about the wedding!

FH has actually only come with me to one Bridal Show...and he had a good time. In one sense he is really excited about the wedding but he wants me to have what I want so for the most part I dont attempt to drag him if he doesnt want to come with. I wish he would give me some insight into what HE would like but I always get the same response

yep-though sometimes it makes life easier, if you have your heart REALLY set on something-he doesnt change it. BUT it can bite you in the azz when you are caught between 2 things and want him to help you choose b/t them

Do we have the same FH I am picking out invites tomorrow and he doesnt want to come and he says he doesnt care 'whatever I want' so he better LOVE THEM!!!

We still have to decide on invitations. He's comming with me weather he likes it or not! I just finally talked him into BallRoom dancing lessons. I think he'll like that.

I am in the same boat with you ladies, my FH has no interst in anything I have done everything on my own with my mom. I think its a guy thing.

totally a guy thing! don't worry i asked my fh to go to things like this and he always finds excuse. call up ur MOH or one of your BM's i'm sure they'd be glad to go with you.

I hear you. I have to nag and remind just to get him to help me with things or take care of the 'guy' things associated with the wedding. Its really annoying and makes me feel crappy.

You know what really tops the cake though, when your FH doesn't want any part of the planning and when he tells his mommmyyy what you have accomplished she has only negative feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its a guy thing....my fh was not involved in anything but now all of a sudden its 6 days until the date and he wants to kno everything...the closer the date more real it becomes...

we got engaged in july, we went to our first bridal showcase in like march.....he was totally against it before i got him there. once we were there he had a good time.......tell them theres all you can eat free food!!

As long as he isn't rude or nasty about it (if he is I think you have a problem) I think it's OK. A lot of guys don't care that much. Whenever I ask my fiance about wedding specifics like colors or flowers he gets That Look on his face, the one that means 'I know you care about this, and I don't want to upset you, but I don't care and I don't know what to say.' As long as he understands and respects the fact that YOU care about wedding details, and as long as he won't complain about them later, it's OK. Tell him you want him to judge DJs--guys can usually relate to that. I put my fiance in charge of the DJ--not that I didn't do all the research and give him three names to call--but that's one fewer thing that I have to worry about. And let him help you plan the honeymoon. The other stuff--flowers, cake, colors, napkins--talk to your mom, or friends, or FMiL, or bridal party about them. Let your FH work on the house.
