not quite yet Gail...not quite yet. it's too soon. it will get better, but you are grieving. I went through it a year ago and it still chokes me up at times...it was very rough for the first weeks and months, but those first days...it was just awful. and that is OK. you lost someone you loved dearly...please know that your hurt and pain is going to ebb as the days go on.

I am truly very sorry.

Omg, I am sooooooooooo very sorry for your loss!!

It's very sweet of your DH to take you out for breakfast, he's right about making you eat even if you don't feel like it.

Like everything else, this too shall pass and it will get easier to deal with the loss of your grandmother. Take refuge in knowing that she's in a better place now.

You and your family are in my thoughts in prayers, to have the strength to get through this difficult time.

Unfortunately it took me years to not cry when i thought of my grandparents.

It wasnt until (I believe ) my grandmother visited me in a dream telling me she was alright that I could smile when thinking of her.

Missing your grandmother will hurt for a while but noone expects you to get over it quickly.
