Does it just happen to us or do you get invited ....

to different parties on the same day all the time?
Last year we were invited to 2 weddings on the same day & now we have 3 parties coming up on the same weekend & had to turn down a fourth.
They are all different things too (birthday,communion & baby showers).

when it rains it pours. We can spend weeks not doing anything in particular then all of a sudden everything hits on the same day.

Yes,OMG Christine,that is exactly what happens.
No parties or gtg's and then BAM:3 different invites for the same day!

Yep, happens all the time!

We always try to make it to both, if it's possible. If theyre close in location and if the times work. Otherwise if my whole family is invited, like a few weeks ago, half of us went to a christening and half of us went to a shower. We try to at least 'represent' the family if we can. and sometimes its not possible to do both

Yup. Last year we were supposed to have 2 weddings on the same day - FH's cousin and I was supposed to be a BM in the other one. Then we had 3 birthday parties on the same day - FH's brother, BIL and one of my best friends. And of course it came after a month of no plans!
