Does it really matter...

that my invitation paper is a little darker than the envelopes?

the invitation paper is ivory, and the envelopes are a light-ivory....

I don't think it makes a difference. Most people probably won't be able to tell or notice the difference.

I do not think it is a big deal no one wil pay attention to that they will be focusing on the gold and plus doesnt the invitation paper have a pattern on it?

Personally, I wouldn't send them out if they didn't match. It's just not going to look right ... J/K I think it's fine - no one is going to notice. It would be really sad if someone sat there comparing the envelope to the invite and saying, 'it's just not the same shade!'

Naah nobody will notice people open the invites and throw the envelope away! At least I do...

ETA: They prob forget the color of the envelope by the time they look at the invitation.
