My company sent out an email today saying that if mass transit is up and running then we should expect to come to work. Do they ever close? And why would a LI based company use that guideline?

i hate when companies say that...it's your life, if you don't feel like risking it - stay home lol! I think mass transit runs on a slow schedule, i dont recall it ever shutting down. Not even for the 2 foot blizzard last year.

Very rarely do the trains ever shut down but they did back in 93 or 94. I was stuck in the city for 2 days. All electrical trains weren't running just the diesals.
I don't think that tomorrows snow will effect them that much...well except for like 2 hour delays lol.

I used the train this morning and it was running as usual. So here I am sitting at work
