Does the BP get 'bride brain' too?

I just got a call from my Matron of Honor. she is a nurse and works 4 12 hr days a week, never on weekends. this was our convo...you be the judge LOL

her: hey, am I calling to find out when the RD is.
me: Thursday, april 20th
her: Oh, ok, I only ask b/c I put in to get off the Friday before and the Monday after the
wedding I only got the Monday after.
me: Oh, that's ok. I may actual work a half day the Friday before myself,
since I am hoping to have most things done by then
her: well, what do you think you'll need the bp to do
me: nothing, I hope. I didn't really plan on asking you girls for stuff
I think you are fine to work
her: yeah, well something always comes up. I'll try to get off
It' s no problem, don't worry about it
me: uh, ok


LOL...I am amazed- she asks me if I need her, I tell her no LOL and it seemed like I said something COMPLETELY different...I am starting to think it's 'THEM' not 'US' LOL

I think she's just trying to figure 'worst case scenario', she wants to be there for you 'just in case'. She's your Matron of Honor, so she's done this before and knows how it is. Sounds like she's just trying to be 'prepared' for anything that may come up last minute.

If she's anything like the rest of us, she hates her job and is just looking for any excuse to get out of work!

I have a bridesmaid who is like this too. She thinks I don't care enough or something. She's engaged too-can't wait to see her bridezilla in action if she's a nut for my wedding! I love her though, I've known her my whole life. She just wants everything to be perfect for me.
